Julian originaly studied law at the Universiy of Sydney, but after becoming bored of it within a year, he decided to persue a different kind of career: modelling. He mostly worked in commericals, until 1987 when he headed out to L.A, N.Y, Milan, Rome, Paris and other different fashion centers around the world. After starring in a Jeans commericals and becoming quite popular in his home country, he was casted in an Australian "Dynasty"-like series, where he played a wealthy heir. Only 18 months later he got another role in "Home And Away" that eventually won him a best actor award form a national magazine.

Later on, he started preforming on stage in a musical version of the same show that got him his award, and a few other parts. Eventually, he headed out to L.A. in his search for american projects.

In his free time, Julian enjoies cooking, surfing, and biking. He collects classic books and loves baseball, football, and basketball.
